BUDGET WORKSHOP MBETING
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
AUGUST 8, 1974
PURPOSE: Following the adjournment of the Workshop Feting of the City
Council held August 8, 1974 in the Assembly Room, 10500 N.
Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a Budget Workshop
Meeting was held to continue discussion on the 1974 -75 General
Fund Budget for the City.
Present were: Mayor Martino, Vice Mayor DeLonga, Councilman Kiedis,
Councilman Wiley and Councilman Feeney. Also present were the
City Manager John L. Orr, Jr. and Tom Bolinski, Recreation
Supervisor. The City Clerk and the City Attorney were excused
from the meeting.
DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
The following items were reviewed and preliminary adjustments were
made as follows;
EXHIBIT 14 - RECREATION DEPARTMENT:
Account 229 - Maintenance and Repairs - This account was reduced to
$600.00
Recreation Leaders (Part Time) (Summer)
Recreation Leaders (Part Time) (Annual)
Recreation Leaders (Part Time) (Aides)
Request was made for a breakdown as to nil -her of employees used in
each of the above categories, length of employment and proposed
wage rates.
The Merit System Board will meet August 20, 1974 at 7:30 P.M. The
purpose of this meeting will be to discuss proposed City pay
scale /,fob Classification along with proposed modifications and

clarification of Section VIII Position Compensation of Palm Beach
Gardens Merit System Rules and Regulations. Recommendation of
employees to be exempt from overtime pay will also be discussed.
ADJOURNMENT. The meeting adjourned at 11:30 P.M.
