CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
AUGUST 22, 1974
PURPOSE: Following the adjournment of the Workshop Meeting of the City
Council held August 22, 1974 in the Assembly Room, 10500 N.
Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a Budget workshop
Meeting was held to continue discussion on the 1974 -75 General
Fund Budget for the City.
Present were: Mayor Martino, Vice Mayor DeLonga, Councilman Kiedis,

Councilman Wiley and Councilman Feeney. Also present were City
Manager John L. Orr, Jr. The City Clerk and City Attorney were
excused from the meeting.
DISCUSSIOdN AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
The following items were reviewed and preliminary adjustments
were made as follows:
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND: PROTECTS:
Beautification and Environmental Committee - This account was
reduced to $29500
Police Cars - This account was reduced to $10,000
The City Manager recommended the purchase of a medium Chevy Nova 350
with the special police package.
The Council tentatively agreed to three new police cars with a
trade in of two police cars.
Fire Department - This account was reduced to $20,000 combining
the Fire Department requests, broken down as follows:
$170000 - Emergency type vehicle
$ 2,000 - Turn out gear
$ 19000 - To be used at the discretion of the Fire Department
with the approval of the City Manager.
Tennis Pro Shoe - This account was increased to $8,500
