Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida was called to order by Vice Mayor DeLonga at 8;00 P.I. in the Assembly Room, 10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ROLL CALL: Roll was called by the City Clerk and present were: Vice Mayor DeLonga, Councilman Kiedis, Councilman Wiley and Councilman Feeney. Mayor Martino was absent as he was attending a meeting of the Palm Beach County Health Planning Council, Inc. for consideration of the request from the Palau Beach Garden's Community Hospital to expand its current facilities. Attorney Brant was present. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Vice Mayor DeLonga made the following announcements: A Tri -City Meeting would be held Monday, October 28, 1974 at 8500 P.M. in the Assembly Room, PBG. A Junior Police Meeting would be held Monday, October 28, 1974 at 7:30 P.M. The Halloween Contest and Parade sponsored by the PBG Recreation Department would be held on Wednesday, October 30, 1974 at 7 :30 P.M. at the City Hall Complex. PURPOSE: The purpose of the Special Meeting was to hold a Public Hearing on the consideration of Ordinance #19, 1974 providing for public buildings as a permitted conditional use in the A -1 Zoning District. Special Meeting, October 24, 1974 Page 2 PUBLIC HEARING: Vice Mayor DeLonga declared the Public Hearing open, as duly ORDINANCE #19, advertised on October 89 1974. X974: There was no discussion by the Council or from any member of the audience. Mr. Clair Andersen, a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, was present in the audience to answer any questions that might arise. The Public Hearing was adjourned. The City Clerk read Ordinance #19, 1974 providing for public buildings as a permitted conditional use in the A -1 Zoning District by title only on second reading and it was unanimously adopted by the Council.. HARRY LEWIS: Harry Lewis, a member of the audience reported on action taken FUEL ADJUSTMENT: this date by the Public Service Commission whereby they ordered a freeze on fuel adjustment charges keeping the chages at their present level until further hearings are held, and urged the Council to join with the other neighboring communities and go on record as opposing this action. The Council concurred that it should be a Tri «City endeavor. The City Manager will contact the City Managers of Lake Park and North Palm Beach, advising them and asking for suggestions, which Attorney Brant will prepare in Resolution form to be delivered to the other Cities prior to the Tri_Ci,ty Meeting on Monday, October 28, 1974 where official action will be '11r taken.
