CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
JULY 27, 1972
Mayor Wiley called for a Special Meeting prior to the Workshop Meeting and
announced the purpose of the Special Meeting was to act on the appointment
of members to the various boards whose terms expire and to act on a Change
Order to the contract with Serraes Construction Company for a no cost
extension of the contract for the Fire Station.
The Special Meeting of the Palm Beach Gardens City Council was held at
10500 N. Military Trail at 8:00 P.M. on July 27, 1972 with Mayor Wiley
presiding and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL: Roll call was called by the City Clerk and present were Councilman Dunbar,
Councilman DeLonga, Vice Mayor Kiedis and Mayor Wiley. Mr. Carlson, City
Manager and Attorney George Baldwin were present. Councilman Orr was
absent.
RESOLUTION Mayor Wiley stated that Clair Andersen and Charles Breder had accepted the

AND ZONING invitation to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission for another
COMMISSION
APPOINTb,NT:term. Resolution #29 - Appointing Clair Andersen and Charles Breder to the
Planning and Zoning Commission for a two year term, to expire on July 1,
1974, was read by the City Clerk. Adopted on a motion by Vice Mayor Kiedis
seconded by Councilman DeLonga. Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays.
RESOLUTION Resolution #30 appointing Rev. Keith Taber, Selema Cxnevad and Lorraine

FICATION Comstock to the Beautification and lhvironmental Committee for a term of

three years to expire on July 12, 1975 was read by the City Clerk and
unanimously adopted on a motion by Councilman DeLonga seconded by Vice
Mayon Kiedis. These 3 members had volunteered to serve on the Committee
for another term. Vote 4 ayes and O nays.
SERRAES Mayor Wiley acknowledged receipt of a letter from Serraes Construction
CONSTRUCTION
CHANGE ORDER: Company to Schwab and Twitty, Architects for the Central Fire Station
explaining the 7 week delay on the delivery of the roof. Schwab and
Twitty presented a Change Order to the contract with Serraes Construction
Special Meeting July 27, 1972 Page 2
to extend the period of construction on a no -cost basis for an additional
seven weeks, to extend the completion from July 10 to August 28. Motion
y by Councilman DeLGnga seconded by Vice Mayor Kiedis to approve the
Change Order for extension of time. Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays.
ADJOUP.NMINT. No further business and motion to adjourn by Vice Mayor Kiedis seconded
by Councilman Dunbar. Time for the record 8:14 P.M.
