CITY OF PALM REACH GARDENS
NOVEMBER 30, 1972
A Special Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens was
held immediately following the Workshop Meeting in the Assembly
Room, 10500 N. Military Trail and called to order by Vice Mayor
Kiedis at 10:47 P.M.
ROLL CALL: All members of the City Council, City Manager Robert Carlson and
City Attorney William Brant were present.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Special Meeting was to read and consider for
adoption Resolution #48, 1972, Certifying the intention of the
City of Palm Beach Gardens to abolish its Municipal Court,
because the time element is such that unless the Resolution is
passed and the information is received by the Chief Judge,
Circuit Court by December 3, 1972, another year would elapse;
and to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the contract
for the rodent control for the City, because the time element
is such that the contract with the existing Company expires on
November 30, 1972 at midnight.
RESOLUTION Attorney Brant further clarified the time element regarding
#48,1972 :
Resolution #48, 1972 stating the certification of intent has
to be delivered to the Chief Circuit Judge of the County 90
days prior to the adoption of an Ordinance to abolish the Court,
such Ordinance has to be adopted at least 30 days prior to the
meeting of the Legislature, April 3, 1973.
Resolution #48, 1972 certifying the intent to abolish the
Municipal Court of Palm Beach Gardens was read by the City
Clerk and unanimously adopted by the Council.
RODENT Motion made, and unanimously adopted by the Council, to
CONTROL:
authorize the Mayor to sign the contract for Rodent Control
Special Meeting, November 30, 1972

with Palm Beach Exterminating Service, Inc. for the low bid
amount of $1,300.00.
ADJOURNMENT. Meeting adjourned at 11:10 P.M.
