CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
The Workshop meeting of the City of Palm Beach Gardens was called to order by
Mayor DeLonga at 7:00 P.M., February 15, 1971 and was opened with the Pledge
of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL Roll was called by the City Clerk. Present were: Councilman Prentiss, Council-
man James, Councilman Orr, Vice Mayor Wiley, and Mayor DeLonga.
Attorney Brant and Mr. Carlson, City Manager were present.
OPENING BIDS Mr. Carlson stated all requirements had been met in the advertising of call for
PUBLIC ADDRESS
SYSTEM bids. There were 3 bids presented to be opened as follows:
Audiotronics- Research & Installation -------------------------- $1325.00
Flamingo Electronics, Inc. ----------------------------- - - - - -- 1414.63
Artronics of Florida, Inc. ----------------------------- - - - - -- 1287.00
Council will evaluate the bids and also refer them to the Architects and builder
prior to awarding the contract.
OPENING BIDS Hedley Prout of Eugene Lawrence Architects Associates, read the bids as presented
PARKING LOT
/AND ACCESS RDfor the Parking lot and access roads for the Municipal Complex. Bids were as
follows:
Belvedere Construction Co ------------------------------------- $29,500.00
Crabtree Construction Co --------------------------------------- 24,437.00
Mondell Paving Co ---------------------------------------------- 28,867.00
Riteway Paving Co ---------------------------------------------- 23,023.75
Rubin Construction Co. ---------------------------------- - - - - -- 31,527.43
Bids were referred to the Architects and Builder for evaluation and will be
awarded at the regular meeting, Monday, February 22, 1971.
ITEMS BY COUNCIL Council will workshop the Long Range Plan on February 22, 1971.
& MAYOR
Discussion of policy regarding issuance of Building permits for projects that
have been approved by the HeAlth Department for the temporary use of a septic
tank was deferred for further study.

ADJOURNMENT: Council adjourned at 7:45 P.M. to proceed to the High School for the
presentation of the Bond issues for the General Election. Motion by
Vice Mayor Wiley, seconded by Councilman Prentiss.
