CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
March 24, 1971
PURPOSE: A Special Meeting of the City Council was called to order at 5:15 P.M.
by Mayor DeLonga. He announced the purpose of the meeting to canvass
the votes of the Run -Off Election of March 23, 1971 and to act on an

Thelma Compton, Cify Clerk
agreement with Baker Protective Services Inc. for communications system
for the Police Department.
ROLL CALL:
Roll was called by the City Clerk; present were: Councilman Prentiss,
Councilman James, Councilman Orr, Vice Mayor Wiley and Mayor DeLonga.
Mr. Carlson, City Manager and Attorney Brant attended.
ABSENTEE BALLOT:
The City Clerk was instructed to open the one absentee ballot, which was
read and entered as a vote for John Kiedis.
RESOLUTION #11
Resolution #11, Declaring the results of the Run -off Election was read by
Declaring results:
the City Clerk and unanimously adopted by the Council on a motion by
Councilman Prentiss seconded by Councilman Orr.
RESOLUTION #12
After discussion of the agreement Mayor DeLonga instructed the City Clerk

BAKER PROTECTIVE
to read Resolution #12- Authorizing the agreement with Baker Protective
SERVICES,INC.
Services, Inc. Adopted unanimously on a motion by Councilman Prentiss,
seconded by Councilman Orr.
ADJOURNMENT:
No further business and motion to adjourn by Councilman Orr seconded by
Councilman Prentiss; time for the record 5:35 P.M.
