CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
JULY 26, 1971
The City Council of Palm Beach Gardens met in session at the
Municipal Building at 10500 N. Military Trail on July 26, 1971
at 8:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mayor DeLonga
and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
ROLL CALL: Roll was called by the City Clerk. Present were: Councilman Orr,
Councilman Kiedis, Councilman James, Vice Mayor Wiley and Mayor
DeLonga. Robert Carlson, City Manager and Attorney William Brant
were present.
Mayor DeLonga stated a Special Meeting had been called to consider
the adoption of 3 Resolutions.
1. Resolution #25 - Re: pairing and clustering of schools and
the proposed busing of school children.
2. Resolution #26 - Re: the 1971 Palm Beach County Tax Roll and
urging the County to retain the 1970 Tax Roll,
3. Resolution #27 - Re: Urging the Palm Beach County School
Board to reduce the operating millage.
RESOLUTION #25: Resolution #25 re: pairing and clustering of schools and the
proposed busing of school children was read by the City Clerk and
discussed and amended. Voting on the Resolution by Vice Mayor
Wiley, seconded by Councilman Kiedis to adopt as amended was
unanimous. Vice Mayor Wiley suggested that a member of the
Council present the Resolution to the School Board in person at
the meeting of the School Board on Wednesday, July 28, 1971,
Mayor DeLonga assured the members that the Resolution would be
delivered.
RESOLUTION #26: Resolution #26 re: the 1971 Palm Beach County Tax Roll and urging
the County to retain the 1970 Tax Roll was read by the City Clerk
and unanimously approved by the Council. This will be forwarded
to the County Tax Assessor.

ADJOURNMENT. Meeting adjourned approximately 8:45 P.M.
