SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
March 5, 1970
PURPOSE: Mayor Blanck called a Special Meeting at 7:15 P.M. after the Work-
shop session which had been in progress from 5:00 P.M. on Thursday
March 5, 1970, for discussion of plans and speoifications for the
Municipal Complex. He explained the purpose of the Special meeting
table
was to formally either rejector accept the submitted specifications
and plans in order to submit the advertisement to the newspaper
for the Sunday edition for wider circulation to contractors. Council
felt this could not be held over to the Regular meeting as bidding
would be held over another week and it was imperative to get the
advertisement into the paper by Sunday, March 8, 1970. Mayor Blanck
stated for the record a quorum was present. In attendance were:
Councilman Bonner, Councilman Prentiss, Councilman James and Mayor
Blank, City Manager, R. Carlson, City Attorney,Wm. Brant and City
Clerk.
MOTION TO Motion by Councilman Bonner that plans and specifications as pre -
ACCEPT BIDS
rented be accepted and the Architects(Eugene Lawrence & Assoc. ) be
authorized to advertise for bids; seconded by Councilman Prentiss.
Council set the date for receiving bids for 5 p.m. Tuesday, March
24, 1970 at City Hall. Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays.
No further business and motion to adjourn by Councilman Bonner
seconded by Councilman Prentiss. Approved and time for the record
7:24 P.M.
