CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
March 18, 1970
Mayor Blanck opened the Special meeting of March 18, 1970 at 5:15 P.M.
and announced that a Special Meeting had been called for the City
Council to act as a canvassing Board and to canvas the returns of the
General Election of March 17, 1970 and to declare the results.
The City Clerk was directed by Mayor Blanck to call the roll; present
were: Councilman Bonner, Councilman Prentiss, Councilman James, Vice
Mayor Walker and Mayor Blanck. Attorney, Wm. Brant and City Managers
Robert Carlson were present.
Motion to read Resolution #11, 1970 -- Declaring the results of the
General Election of March 17, by Vice Mayor Walker seconded by Council-
man Bonner. Vote to read 5 ayes and 0 nays. Read by the City Clerk.
Motion to adopt by Vice Mayor Walker seconded by Councilman Prentiss.
Discussion was held on the necessity of rechecking the voting machines.
Council felt there was no need for opening the machines and there were
no other objections on the count of votes. Voting on the motion to
adopt, 5 ayes and 0 nays.
No further business and motion to adjourn by Vice Mayor Walker seconded
by Councilman Prentiss.
