SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
August 3, 1970
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Palm Beach Gardens
was called to order by Mayor Blanck at 7:30 P.M. at 3704 Burns Road,
City Hall, on August 3, 1970.
PLEDGE OF The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
ALLEGIANCE
ROLL CALL Roll was called by the City Clerk and present were: Councilman Prentiss,
Councilman James, Councilman Wiley and Mayor Blanck. Vice Mayor
DeLonga was on vacation. Atty. Brant and City Manager, Robert Carlson
attended. Councilman Wiley arrived late.
PURPOSE Mayor Blanck announced the Special meeting had been called to act on
a payment to Desrochers Construction Co. and to grant an easement to
Florida Power and Light Co. and to the Klock Co.
RESOLUTION #23 Granting an easement to Florida Power and Light Co and to the Klock Co.
Motion to read Resolution #23, 1970 by Councilman Prentiss seconded by
Councilman James. Vote 3 ayes and 0 nays. Read by the City Clerk and
Motion to adopt by Councilman Prentiss seconded by Councilman James.
Vote 3 ayes and 0 nays.
RESOLUTION #24 Granting use of Trailers at the Palm Beach Gardens Community Hospital
was read by the City Clerk on a motion by Councilman Prentiss seconded by
Councilman James. Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays. Motion to adopt by Councilman
Prentiss seconded by Councilman Wiley. Council agreed to modify the
Resolution by removing the words Mobile Home; amend section 2 to read
the City Council instead of City Building Official and specify that no
drugs be stored in the trailers. Councilman Wiley moved to modify
Resolution #24 as recommended above; motion seconded by Councilman
Prentiss. Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays. A proposal was submitted by the
Hospital and Council agreed to make this a part of the Resolution.

APPROVAL OF Motion by Councilman James that Desrochers Construction Co. be paid
PAYMENT TO
DESROCHERS the amount of $26,280.00 as certified by the City's Architect for
construction of City Hall site; seconded by Councilman Wiley.
Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays.
ADJOURNMENT No further business and motion for adjournment by Councilman Prentiss
seconded by Councilman James. Vote 4 ayes and 0 nays.
