WORKSHOP MEETING
Nov. 2, 1970
The Workshop meeting of November 2, 1970 was called to order by Vice Mayor
DeLonga at 11:15 P.M. after the Special meeting.
ROLL CALL Roll was called by the City Clerk and present were: Councilman Wiley,
Councilman Prentiss, Councilman James and Vice Mayor DeLonga. Mayor Blanck
was absent. Attorney Brant and Mr. Carlson, City Manager were Present.
REPORTS Mr. Carlson stated the Preliminary Storm Drainage report prepared by the
City Engineer had been received and distributed to each Councilman and
to Atty. Brant. Council instructed copies to be sent to John D. MacArthur
and City of North Palm Beach for their comments.
ITEMS BY CITY Awarding of a contract for the paving of Johnson Dairy Road was deferred
MANAGER & CLERK
to the Regular meeting of November 9, 1970 as Mr. Ryan could not make any
decision or committment as the owners of said property were out of Town.
Council acknowledged receiving a letter from Mr. Vince Pappalardo agreeing
to a voluntary assessment.
Awarding Contract for City's Group Life and Health Insurance was deferred
to November 9, 1970, Regular meeting for further review of Mr. Carlson's
tabulation of the bids.
Discussion of the Subdivision Regulations and Public Offices and Employees
Standard of Conduct were deleted from the Agenda and will be placed on the
Workshop agenda of November 16, 1970.
A letter from the Postal Department regarding Self Service Postal Unit was
read by Vice Mayor DeLonga. Council agreed that Mr. Carlson contact the
Postal authorities again for further investigation to initiate a Post
Office for the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
Council authorized placing Ordinance #13, 1970 (Manager's Salary) on the
agenda for Monday, November 9, 1970.
Numbering of certain streets was discussed and Mr. Carlson was instructed
to find out what action can be taken to renumber certain odd numbered
residences.
Council decided there was no need for attending the Palm Beach County
Zoning Board meeting on a change of Zoning at the intersection of A-1A

and Northlake Boulevard.
