SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
August 3, 1968
SPECIAL MEETING The City Council of Palm Beach Gardens met in Special Session as a
Board of Equalization on Saturday, August 3, 1968 at 9:30 A.M. The
purpose of the meeting being announced by Mayor Bonner to hear all com-
plaints for the 1968 assessment roll.
QUORUM Roll call was called by the City Clerk with Councilman Walker, Brown
and Jewett and Vice Mayor Earle and Mayor Bonner present.
VAN DYKE The only letter received and opened by the Board was from Mr.
OBJECTION
Van Dyke of Van Dyke Machine Tool. Mr. Van Dyke was present to
present his views. After discussing the assessment, the Board
voted 5 ayes and no nays to leave the assessment as set up on the
basis that this was a fair and equitable assessment. Motion for
no adjustment was made by Vice Mayor Earle, seconded by Councilman
Brown. Change was denied.
RECESS As there were no other complaints at the present time, Mayor Bonner
asked for a recess. Motion to recess by Vice Mayor Earle and
seconded by Councilman Brown. Vote was 5 ayes and no nays. Time
for the record was 9:55 A.M.
REOPEN TO ADJOURN Mayor Bonner called the Board Meeting back in session at 11:55 A.M.
with the Board consisting of the three Councilmen, Vice Mayor and
Mayor. As there were no objections filed and no one appeared to be
heard, motion to adjourn meeting was made by Vice Mayor Earle and
seconded by Councilman Walker. Time for the record was 11:55 P.M.
