SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
October 30, 1968
SPECIAL MEETING The special meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens was
held on October 30, 1968 at 8:00 P.M. at City Hall. Vice Mayor Earle
presided.
g_UORUM Roll call was called by the City Clerk with Councilman Walker and
Brown present. Mayor Bonner and Councilman Jewett were absent.
PURPOSE OF THE Vice Mayor Earle stated the purpose of the meeting was for the

opening of the Pension Plan bids. Agents of each Insurance Company
were present.
DEPOSIT ADMINIS- City Manager Poston stated he would like the agent's opinions as to
TRATION ALTERNATE
BID SUGGESTED whether their company could present an alternate bid on Deposit
Administration Plan and defer opening of the bids as presented
until the Deposit Administration Plan bids were received.
Each agent expressed their feelings as to the Deposit Administration
Plan and pros and cons were discussed.
Motion by Councilman Walker to put off opening the bids and advertise
for Depost Administration Plan and open both at the same time.
Motion died for lack of a second as Councilman Brown stated he
would abstain from voting as his Company was bidding.
Vice Mayor Earle stated as there was a lack of a quorum the Insurance
Plan would be held over to Workshop Meeting of November 4, 1968.
ADJOURNMENT No further business and motion to adjourn was by Councilman Walker,
seconded by Councilman Brown.
