SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
July 24, 1967
SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Diamond called for a Special Meeting of the City
Council of Palm Beach Gardens. It was held at 8 :15 P.M.,
Monday, July 24, 1967, at the City Hall, 3704 Burns Road,
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
gUORUM Mayor Diamond called the roll. All Councilmen were
present except Vice Mayor Hughes and Councilman Brown.
PURPOSE OF THE The purpose of the meeting was to pass Res. #34 -19679

authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to enter into a contract
to sell 10 acres of land for $50,000, and to purchase
20 acres of land for $100,000.
RES. #34 -1967 Motion by Councilman Earle, seconded by Councilman

$100,000, be read by the City Manager. Vote was 3 -0
in favor of the motion. Mayor Diamond instructed the
City Manager to read Res. #34 -1967. Motion by Councilman
Bonner, seconded by Councilman Earle, that Res. #34 -1967
be adopted as read by the City Manager. On the discussion
of the motion, Mayor Diamond commented that Res. #25 -1967,
duly passed by this Council authorized the Council to
purchase this 20 acres of land in exchange for the sale
of the 10 acres of land owned by the City. Due to a

breakdown in negotiations and some definite changes in
the contract of sale relating to interest and disposal
of the 10 acres, it was necessary to proceed with a new
Resolution. Therefore, this was being done and
Res. #25 -1967 was repealed. The contract of sale is a
part of this document. Mayor Diamond called for a vote
on the motion. The vote was 3 -0 in favor of the motion.
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilman Earle, seconded by Councilman
Bonner, that the meeting be adjourned. The vote was
3 -0 in favor of the motion. The meeting was adjourned
at 8:25 P.M.
