HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Council 092067SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL September 20, 1967 Mayor Diamond called for a Special Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens. It was held at 5:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 20, 1967, at the City Hall, 3704 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. UORUM Mayor Diamond asked the Manager to call the roll. All Councilmen were present. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING The purpose of the meeting was for the Council to sit as the Can- vassing Board to canvass the returns of the Special Referendum Election held September 19, 1967, and to certify the results. RES. #43 -1967 Motion by Councilman Earle, seconded by Vice Mayor Hughes, that CANVASSING THE RE- TURNS OF THE SPECIAL Res. #43 -1967, canvassing the returns of the Special Referendum REFERENDUM ELECTION HELD SEPTEMBER 20, Election held September 19, 1967, be read in full by the Manager. 1967 The vote was 5 -0 in favor of the motion. Mayor Diamond directed the Manager to read the Resolution. Motion by Vice Mayor Hughes, seconded by Councilman Brown, that Res. #43 -1967 be adopted as read by the Manager. On the discussion of the motion, a question was raised as to the absentee ballots. The Manager informed the Council that there were six absentee ballots and that they were opened by the Election Board and certified by the Election Board and are a part of the final results. Mayor Diamond called for a vote on the motion. The vote was 5 -0 in favor of the motion. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilman Earle, seconded by Councilman Bonner, that the meeting be adjourned at 5:35 P.M. Vote was 5 -0 in favor of the motion.
