REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
May 23, 1966
REGULAR MEETING The regular meeting of the Council of the City of Palm Beach Gardens,
was held on May 23, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. at the Meridian Park Clubhouse
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
PLEDGE OF The Mayor instructed Councilman Hughes to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance
ALLEGIANCE
to the Flag.
QUORUM At the direction of the Mayor the roll was called. All the Councilmen
were present except Councilman Dela Court.
PURCHASE A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Diamond to pay all the purchase

�- orders as read by the clerk. Motion passed unanimously. 4 -0
MINUTES A motion by Councilman Diamond, seconded by Hughes that the minutes of

MAY 9, 1966 the meeting of May 9, 1966 be read. Motion passed unanimously 4 -0. A
motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Bonner that the minutes of
May 9, 1966 be approved as read, with a change under the Item, Request
for Zoning change from Royal American Industries. Vice -Mayor Diamond
instructed that the request be taken to the next meeting (Workshop)
in lieu of the sentence to be presented at the next Workshop meeting.
Motion passed unanimously. 4 -0
SPECIAL MEETING A motion by Councilman Diamond, seconded by Councilman Hughes, that the

19 minutes of May 10, 1966 be read. Motion passed unanimously 4 -0. A motion
by Councilman Bonner, seconded by Councilman Diamond that the minutes
of May 10, 1966 be approved as read. Motion passed unanimously 4 -0.

ORDINANCE #5 -1966 A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman

Diamond that Ordinance fk5 -1966 be placed on lst Reading.
Motion passed unanimously.
ORDINANCE #6 -1966 A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman
Bonner, that Ordinance # 6 -1966 be placed on first
reading. The Ordinance to be read as follows: Where
the Symbol M -1 appears in the Ordinance, it shall be
read as M. Motion passed unanimously. 4 -0
ORDINANCE #4 -1966
C -2 ZONE C A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman
Bonner, that Ordinance 114 -1966 be placed on second
reading, Motion passed unanimously 4 -0.
A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman
Diamond that Ordinance # 4 -1966 be adopted as read By
Clerk. Motion Passed unanimously.
RESOLUTION A motion by Councilman Diamond , and seconded by Council -

Motion passed unanimously. A motion by Councilman
Diamond, seconded by Councilman Hughes that Resolution
#15 -1966 be adopted as read by clerk. Motion passed

to read Resolution # 17 -1966. Motion passed unanimously 4 -0
Motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Bonner
that Resolution #17 -1966 be adopted as read with the following
change; In Section3, Robert C. Diamond shay appear in place
of Robert Diamond. Motion passed unanimously. 4 -0
RESOLUTION A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Bonner

that Resolution #18 -1966 be read. Motion passed unanimously.
A motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Bonner
that Resolution #18 -1966 be adopted as read. Motion passed

APPOINTING JOHN A motion by Councilman Diamond, seconded by Councilman Bonner
B.MARION AS CITY
ARCHITECT to appoint John B. Marion as City Architect. Motion passed
unanimously. 4 -0
ADJOURNMENT A motion by Councilman Bonner, seconded by Councilman
Diamond that the meeting be adjourned. Motion Passed
unanimously
