HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Council 111666CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL November 16, 1966 SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Diamond called for a Special Meeting to be held at the City Hall, 10128 Meridian Way, Meridian Park, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at 8:55 P.M., November 16, 1966. QUORUM Mayor Diamond instructed the Manager to call the roll. All Coun- cilmen were present. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING Mayor Diamond called the meeting for the purpose of reading and adopting Res. #44 -1966, appointing William D. Earle as Deputy City Treasurer of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Res. #45 -1966, set- ting forth those persons who shall sign and countersign checks on all bank accounts of the City, and Res. #46 -1966, providing rec- reation within the City of Palm Beach Gardens by purchasing a mem- bership of $1,000 from the Professional Golf Association Champions Club for the use of the residents and citizens of Palm Beach Gardens. RES. #44 -1966 Motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Bonner, that APPOINTING WILLIAM D. EARLE AS DEPUTY CITY Res. #44 -1966; appointing William D. Earle as Deputy City Treasurer TREASURER of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, be read by the Clerk, Vote was 4 -0 in favor of the motion. Motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Bonner that Res. #44 -1966 be adopted as read by the Clerk. On the discussion of the motion, it was brought out that this Resolution would cancel all previous Resolutions relating to the office of City Treasurer. Vote was 4 -0 in favor of the motion. RES. #45 -1966 Motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Earle, that SETS FORTH THE MAYOR OR VICE MAYOR TO SIGN Res. #45 -1966, setting forth the Mayor, Robert C. Diamond, or AND COUNTERSIGN CHECKS ON ALL BANK ACCOUNTS Vice Mayor, .lames W. Vote was 4 -0 in favor of the motion. Motion by Councilman Bonner, seconded by Councilman Earle, that Res. #45 -1966 be adopted as read by the Clerk. Vote was 4 -0 in favor of the motion. RES. #46 -1966 Motion by Councilman Hughes, seconded by Councilman Earle, that PROVIDES RECREATION WITHIN THE CITY BY PUR- Res. #46 -1966, providing recreation within the City of Palm Beach CHASING A MEMBERSHIP OF $1,000 FROM THE PGA CHAM- Gardens by purchasing a membership of $1,000 from the Professional PIONS CLUB F R THE USE OF THE RESIDENTS AND CITIZENS Golf Association Champions Club for the use of the residents and OF THE CITY. citizens of Palm Beach Gardens, be read by the Clerk. Vote was 4 -0 in favor of the motion. Motion by Councilman Bonner, seconded by Councilman Earle, that Res. #46 -1966 be adopted as read by the Clerk. Vote was 4 -0 in favor of the motion. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 9:05 P.M.
