MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
ACTING AS THE ZONING BOARD OF THE CITY
AUGUST 4, 1965
SPECIAL MEETING: Upon call of the Mayor, a special meeting of the City Council
of Palm Beach Gardens acting as the Zoning Board of the City, was
held at 4:00 o'clock P.M., on Wednesday, August 4, 1965, at the
municipal offices of the City, 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida.
MEETING CATJ.FD TO Mayor Ted Dela Court called the meeting to order. The City
ORDER; QUORUM:
Clerk announced that a quorum of the City Council was present.
VARIANCE ON SETBACK Mayor Dela Court introduced Mr. Robert Phillips, President
IN MERIDIAN PARK;
RE UEST DEt O- of Phillips, Inc. - Builders, the owner and contractor for MERIDIAN
LUTION GRANTING
VARIANCE: PARK, a subdivision located within the City of Palm Beach Gardens,
Florida. Mr. Phillips presented orally a request for a variance as
to the rear setback requirements on two porches of buildings in
Meridian Park. A discussion of the advisability of such a variance
thereupon took place, during which it was noted that no construction
had thus far taken plane in violation of existing requirements.
Following this discussion, and upon motion duly made by
Councilman Horace S. biller and seconded by Councilman James F.
Kelleher, the following resolution was duly adopted by a vote of
four to one (Councilman Michael E. Jackson dissenting):
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Palm Beach
Gardens acting as the Zoning Board of the City, that Phillips,
Inc. - Builders, a Florida corporation, the owners of
"MERIDIAN PARK," a subdivision located within the City of
Palm Beach Gardens and subject to zoning under Classification
"R -3" be, and the same hereby is, granted a variance under

the zoning ordinances of the City with respect to the
rear building line setback requirements under zoning
Classification "R-3" for two buildings, more specifically
set forth in the drawings attached hereto and made a
part hereof as Exhibit "A."
ADJOURNMENT: There being no furthe ? -buszness to come before the meeting,
upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it was
adjourned.

RATIFICATION:
waives notice of this meeting and ratifies the actions recorded in
