MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1965
The regular meeting of the City Council was held at the
Garden Lanes Bowling Alley meeting room, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,
on Monday, October 11, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M.
MEETING CALLED TO Mayor Ted Dela Court called the meeting to order. After
ORDER; QUORUM:
calling the roll, the Mayor announced that a quorum of the City
Council was present. Councilmen James F. Kelleher and W. L.
Cargill were absent.
PROPOSED SETTLEMENT The City Council discussed the proposed settlement of ad

EAST COAST RAILWAY valorem taxes for the years 1962, 1963 and 1964, offered by the
COMPANY REJECTED:
Florida East Coast Railway Company, as exemplified by their check
dated September 23, 1965, in the amount of $4,203.93. It was the
unanimous opinion of the Council that this offer should he rejected.
Whereupon, the following resolution was duly made, seconded and
unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Palm
Beach Gardens that a proposed settlement of ad
valorem taxes for the years 1962, 1963 and 1964,
offered by the Florida East Coast Railway Company
and tentatively accepted at the regular meeting
of the City Council held on September 27, 1965, be,
and the same is hereby, rejected; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any and all action
taken on that proposed settlement, and the Resolution
adopted pursuant thereto at the regular meeting of
the City Council held on September 27, 1965, be, and
the same is hereby, rescinded and rendered null and
void; and

ADJOURNMENT:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer
of the City of Palm Beach Gardens be, and the same
is hereby, authorized and empowered to return to
Florida East Coast Railway Company their check dated
September 23, 1965, in the amount of $4,203.93; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Collector of
the City of Palm Beach Gardens be, and the same is
hereby, authorized and empowered to prepare and send
to the Florida East Coast Railway Company, revised
statements of tax liability for the years 1962, 1963
and 1964, together with penalty interest in accordance
with the statutes in such cases provided.
There being no further business to come before the meeting,
upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it was
adjourned.

NOTICE OF AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE AND
ZONING MAP
STATE OF FLORIDA
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
TO THE CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OF PALM BEACH GARDENS:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on the 22nd day of November, 1965, at 8 :00 o'clock
P.M., at the Garden Lanes Bowling Alley Meeting Room, Lake Park West Road,
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a meeting will be held by the City Council
of PALM BEACH GARDENS, also acting as a Zoning Board, for the purpose of
acting upon proposed Ordinance I -L amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning
Map of the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS by reclassifying and rezoning two
parcels of land located in Section 12, Township 42 South, Range 42 East,
Palm Beach County, Florida, from Zoning Classification "R -1" to Zoning
Classification "R -3."
That said proposed Ordinance 1 -L is on record at 1001 Park Avenue,
Lake Park, Florida, and may be examined thereat for particulars.

P.M., at the Garden Lanes Bowling Alley Meeting Room, Lake Park West Road,
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a meeting will be held by the City Council
of PALM BEACH GARDENS, also acting as a Zoning Board, for the purpose of
acting upon proposed Ordinance 1 -M amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning
Map of the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS by reclassifying and rezoning a
certain parcel of land located in Section 1, Township 42 South, Range 42
East, Palm Beach County, Florida, from Zoning Classification "M" to Zoning
Classification "R -1."
That said proposed Ordinance 1 -M is on record at 1001 Park Avenue,
Lake Park, Florida, and may be examined thereat for particulars.
