MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 29, 1965
SPECIAL MEETING:
Upon call of the Mayor, a special meeting of the City
Council of Palm Beach Gardens was held at 3:30 P.M., on Monday,
November 29, 1965, at the municipal offices of the City, 1001
Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida.
gUORUM:
After calling the roll, the City Clerk announced that a
quorum of the City Council was present. Councilman James F. Kelleher
was absent.
ORDINANCE 0 -I;
The City Clerk read for the second and final time Ordinance
SECOND READING AND
ENACTMENT:
0 -I, which provides for the annexation of certain realty located in
Section 4, Township 42 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County,
Florida, effective immediately, and which Ordinance was first in-
troduced at the meeting of September 27, 1965. It is understood
that this property is coming into the City under Zoning Classification
"C -l." There being no objection thereto, the City Council by unanimous
vote ordained that the Ordinance be ratified and affirmed to take
effect immediately.

SECOND READING AND
ENACTMENT:
0 -J, which provides for the annexation of two parcels of realty
located upon and along Lake Park West Road in the vicinity of or
adjacent to proposed Interstate Highway I -95, and which Ordinance
was first introduced at the meeting of November 22, 1965. It is

understood that this Ordinance will not take effect until the
property is zoned under Zoning Classification "C -1" COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT. There being no objection thereto, the City Council
by unanimous vote ordained that this Ordinance be ratified and
affirmed to take effect in accordance with that understanding.
REZONING OF The City Council was then given an Ordinance pre -

BY ORDINANCE 0 -J: pared by municipal counsel effecting changes to the Zoning Code
and Zoning Map as contemplated under Ordinance 0 -J, tentatively
numbered Ordinance 1 -N - AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE.
PROPOSED ORDINANCE The City Clerk then read in full the proposed Ordinance
1 -N; FIRST READING:
I -N for the first time; and upon motion duly made, seconded and
unanimously adopted, it was resolved that notice of hearing
upon the proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance be given in
accordance with the statutes in such cases provided. It was
decided that this hearing would be held on January 10, 1966.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the
meeting, upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted,
it was adjourned.

AMWT14ON ORDINANCE
An Ordinance to annex certain land to, and incorporate the same within
the territorial limits of the CITY OF PALM RUCH GARDENS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIIAA:
Section 1. Short Title. This Ordinance #hall be known as Annexation
Ordinance.
Section 2. The following described parcel of laud shall, and the same
is hereby, annexed to and incorporated within the territorial limits of the
City of palm Beach Gardena, the owner of said land having heretofore filed
petition for and consented to such annexation, to,-wit-
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Gimernment
Lot 6, Section 4, Township 42 South, Range 43 Bast,
Palm Beach County, Florida, run thence South 85
degrees 12' 07" .last on the North line of said
Goverment Lot 6 a distance of 103.62 feet, thence
run South 16 degrees 51' 25" West parallel to the
Easterly right -of -way line of State Road No. 5
(U. S. Highway No. 1), a distance of 400 feet to
a point in the West line of said Government Lot 6,
them* run North 1 degree 51' 50" Bast on said
West line of Government Lot 6 a distance of 391.68
feet to the Northwest corner thereof, the point of
beginning, ERCEPTING therefrom the right -of -way
for St+ste Road No. 703 as now laid out and in use.
(Being the southeast corner of 703 (the new Monet
Road) and U. S. Highway No. 1).
Section 3. The foregoing parcel of land shall be incorporated within
the territorial limits of the City of Palm Beach Gardena, Florida, under Zoning
Classification "C -l."

Sect,o3p 4. It is the intent of this Ordinance to costply with the
provisions of Article V, Section 3. Paragraph 29 of the City Garter,
autherising the City to annex unincorporated areas to, and incorporate
the saws within, its territorial limits upon petition of the owner of
the land to be annexed.
Section 5. Effective Date: This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately.
PASSED and APPROVED by the Council of the CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS,

NOTICE OF AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE AND
ZONING MAP
STATE OF FLORIDA
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
TO THE CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OF PALM BEACH GARDENS:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on the 10th day of January, 1966, at 8:00 o'clock
P.M., at the Garden Lanes Bowling Alley Meeting Room, Lake Park West Road,
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a meeting will be held by the City Council
of PALM BEACH GARDENS, also acting as a Zoning Board, for the purpose of
enacting Ordinance 1 -N amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of
the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS by reclassifying and rezoning two parcels
of land located on Lake Park West Road in Sections 18 and 19, Township
42 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, from their present
Zoning Classification to Zoning Classification "C -2" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
That said proposed Ordinance I -N is on record at 1001 Park Avenue,
Lake Park, Florida, and may be examined thereat for particulars.
