HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Council 071163CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS �✓ SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL JULY 11, 1963 SPECIAL MEETING: Upon call of the Mayor, a special meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens was held at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on Thursday, July 11, 1963, at the municipal office of said City, 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida. QUORUM: The City Clerk announced that a quorum of the City Council was present. ELECTION CODE? The Council then read for the second and final time (by title 8EMM READING AND ADOPTION: only) ELECTION CODE, tentatively designated General Ordinance No. 11, introduced at the meeting of July 8, 1963. There being no objection thereto, the Council -by unanimous vote ordained that this Ordinance be ratified and affirmed to take effect immediately. The Mayor recommended that Mr. Lindsey Jarrell be added as an additional signor or countersignor on the Payroll Bank Account and Public Works Bank Account, both with First Marine Bank, Riviera Beach, Florida. Whereupon the following two resolutions were duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted: FIRST MARINE RESOLVED, that W. L. Cargill is hereby authorized to open BANK: PAYROLL and from time to time to reconcile an account or accounts ACCOUNT for and in the name of the corporation with the Riviera Beach Bank, of Riviera Beach, Florida, and from time to time to deposit funds of the corporation 'the'rein, the same to be subject to withdrawal by checks, drafts or orders signed by any two of the following: Norman Rowland, W. L. Cargill, L. J. Lehane, Lindsey Jarrell or Horace S. Miller, as Signors or Countersignors; or Robert Pickering or J. Riley Gauvey, as Countersignors, and that the said Bank may rely upon the authority herein conferred upon said designated persons until delivery to it of a certified copy of a resolution of this Board revoking or modifying the same; and that such authority shall include checks drawn to the order of any of said persons. r FIRST MARINE RESOLVED, that W. L. Cargill, L. J. Lehane, Lindsey Jarrell, Horace S. Miller, Hugh P. McTeigue as Countersignors or Signors; or Robert Pickering or J. Riley Cauvey, as Countersignors and that the said Bank may rely upon the authority herein conferred upon said designated persons until delivery to it of a certified copy of a resolution of this Board revoking or modifying the same; and that such authority shall include checks drawn to the order of any of said persons. ADJOURNMENT: WAIVER AND RATIFICATION: There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was duly adjourned. By his signature to these minutes, each Councilman hereby waives notice of this meeting and confirms his affirmative vote to the actions recorded in these minutes.
