CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
MONDAY, MARCH 26, 1962
The regular meeting of the City Council was held at 1001 Park Avenue, Lake
Park, Florida, on Monday, March 26, 1962 at 10 :00 o'clock A.M.
QUORUM: The City Clerk announced that a quorum of the City Council was present.
APPROVAL The City Treasurer has completed the budget for the calendar year 1963, a

BUDGET: copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A ". This
budget was presented to the Council for consideration and approval.
Following such examination, the following resolution was duly made,
seconded and unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED that the budget of the City of Palm Beach
Gardens for the calendar year 1963 as prepared by the City
Treasurer and as presented to the City Council be, and the
same is hereby, approved and ratified.
APPROVAL The Tax Assessor of Palm Beach Gardens has completed the tax assessment

e.�ASSESS- roll for the calendar year 1962, and has delivered said assessment roll to the

City Council. The Council has examined this assessment roll and finds it to be
in order.
Whereupon, the following resolution was duly made, seconded and unani-
mously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED that the tax assessment roll of the City of
Palm Beach Gardens for the calendar year 1962 as prepared
by the Tax Assessor of Palm Beach Gardens and as presented
to the City Council be, and the same is hereby approved and
ratified, effective immediately.
AMOUNT TO The Council was advised that it will be necessary for the City of Palm

BY TAXATION; Beach Gardens to raise $710, 000 by taxation in the calendar year 1962. The
APPROVED
MILLAGE: Council was further advised that, in order to raise this amount, it will be
,—� necessary to levy a tax in the calendar year 1962 of ten (10) mills on the dollar
of assessed valuation of taxable property. Whereupon, the following resolution

was duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted:
ADJOURNMENT:
BE IT RESOLVED that, being fully advised of the financial needs
of the City of Palm $each Gardens, the City Council does hereby
fix and determine that the amount to be raised by taxation in said
City shall be $70, 0000 and does further authorize and empower
the Tax Collector of Palm Beach Gardens to collect said amount,
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in order to raise that sum, the
Council does further hereby authorize the said Tax Collector to
levy a tax of ten (10) mills on the dollar of assessed valuation of
taxable property.
There being no further business to come before the meeting it was
duly adjourned.
