CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 1962
Upon call of the Vice - Mayor, acting as Mayor, a special meeting of
the City Council was held at 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida, on
Wednesday, August 29, 1962, at 10:00 o'clock A.M.
QUORUM: The City Clerk announced that a quorum of the City Council was present.
APPOINTMENT
OF POLICE
The Vice - Mayor, acting as Mayor, advised the Council that in order
OFFICER to enable the Police Department of Palm Beach Gardens to operate efficiently
AND SCHOOL
PATROL- and to preserve order within the City, and in order to regulate pedestrian and
WOMEN:
vehicular traffic and promote safety of school children at street crossings
within the City limits of Palm Beach Gardens during the usual and ordinary
school hours, it was advisable to appoint persons to the offices of Police
1� Officer and School Patrolwomen.
WHEREUPON, upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
adopted, the following appointments were made:
Anna Cassidy, School Patrolwoman
Iris Lambert, School Patrolwoman
David R. Woods, Police Officer
OATHS OF The oaths of office of Anna Cassidy and Iris Lambert as School
OFFICE:
Patrolwomen are attached hereto, and the oath of office of David R. Woods as
Police Officer will be attached hereto when executed.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the meeting,
it was duly adjourned.

waives notice of this meeting and confirms his affirmative vote to the
actions recorded in these minutes.
