SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 31, 1962
SPECIAL Upon call of the Vice Mayor, acting as Mayor, a special meeting of
MEETING:
the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens was held at 10:00 o °clock A. M.
on Wednesday, October 31, 1962, at the municipal office of the City,
1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida.
QUORUM: The City Clerk announced that a quorum of the City Council was present.
APPOINTMENT The Vice Mayor, acting as Mayor, advised the City Council that it was
OF POLICE
OFFICERS: advisable to appoint additional persons as Police Officers.
Whereupon, and after further discussion, the following Resolution was
duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED that Thomas J. MacDonald be, and he hereby
is, appointed as Police Officer of the City of Palm Beach
Gardens.
OATH OF The oath of office of Thomas J. MacDonald as Police Officer of the
OFFICE:
City will be attached hereto.
PLAT NO. 5 It was brought to the attention of the Council that Plat No. 5, CITY
WALKWAYS:
OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, which was accepted and approved on
March 21, 1962, dedicated to the City certain lands for expressed uses,
and that among the same is an area across the rear of all lots in Blocks 50,
53, 54, 55, 56 and 57 and of some of the lots in Blocks 51 and 58 dedicated
as a walkway. The Vice Mayor advised the Council that it was advisable
for the City to construct five foot shell walkway at this time in accordance
with this Plat and, following completion of construction on these lots, to
replace the shell walkway with a concrete one.
WHEREUPON, the following RESOLUTION was duly made, seconded
and unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT The CITY OF PALM BEACH
GARDENS construct a five foot shell walkway over, on,
and along those areas dedicated and set aside for same
as shown on that certain plat designated as PLAT NO, 5,
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, as recorded in Plat
Book 27, pages 94 and 95, Public Records of Palm Beach
County, Florida; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the CITY construct
and replace said shell walkway with a concrete walkway
following completion of construction on the lots adjoining
said walkways; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Acting Mayor be,
and the same is hereby, delegated and empowered to carry
out the foregoing resolves.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was
duly adjourned,

Force of the CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA, upon
