MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 1962
The regular meeting of the City Council was held at 1001 Park Avenue,
Lake Park, Florida, on Wednesday, December 5, 1962, at 10:00 o'clock A.M.

TRACTS; SECOND
READING AND
ENACTMENT:

MENT:
The City Clerk announced that a quorum of the City Council was present.
The Council then read for the second and final time ORDINANCE
O -D(1), which provides for the annexation of the Upthegrove, Froehlich,
and Thompson Tracts to the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS effective
immediately, and which Ordinance was first introduced at the meeting
of December 3, 1962. There being no objection thereto, the Council
then by unanimous vote ordained that this Ordinance be ratified and
affirmed, to take effect from the date hereof.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

An Ordinance to annex certain lands to, and incorporate the same
within, the territorial limits of the CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS.
AE IT ORDAINED by THIS CITY COUNCIL OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA;
Soction_1. The following described thee(3) parcels of land shall, and the same
are hereby, annexed to and incorporated within the territorial limits
of the City of PALM BRACH GARDENS, to-wit:
PARCEL ONE.
All that part of Section 16, Township 42 South, Range 42 East.
Palm breach County, Florida, lying North and Last of the North-
east right -of -way of the Seaboard Air Line Railroad and North
of the North right -of -way of West Lake Park Road, lugs the
rights-of-way of State Road No. 710 (bee -Uine HiXb way) and
Cenral and Southerst Florida Flood Control District Canal C -18,
consisting of approximately 527 acres, more or less.
commonly known as the UPTHEGROVE TRACT: and
PARCEL TWA?
That certain tract of land in Section 14, Township 4Z South,
Range 42 East, ageing 345 acres, more or lose, specifically
described as follows:
(a) The north half of said Section 14. except 10 acres more
or less, consisting of the north half of the southwest quarter
of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of said
Section, and the south half of the northwest quarter of the
southwest quarter of the northwest quarter; and
(b) The east quarter of than southeast quarter of said Section 14,
excepting 5 acres more or less. consisting of the east half of
the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of the southeast
quarter of said Section 14,

A parcel of lame situate in the Northeast Quarter of Section 13,
Township 42 South, Range 42 East, 10alm Beach County, Florida,
described as follows:
Commence at a concrete monument in the South line of the
Northeast Cmarter of said Section 13 where said South line of

the Northeast Quarter of said Section 13 intersects the Rarterly
right of way lime of Military Trail; thence tun Northerly along
the Easterly right of way line of Military Trail a distance of
330 feet; thence Easterly along a line 330 feet North of a"

Section 13 a distance of 941.36 feet; thence Southerly along a line
parallel to and 941.36 feet East of the Easterly right of way line
of Military '!Frail a distance of 330 feet to a pout in the South lint
of said Northeast Quarter of said Section 13; thence Westerly
along the eacid South line of the Northeast 0,L&rter of said Section 13
a distance of 941.36 feat to the point of beginning,
commonly known as the THOMPSON TRACT.
Section d. Effective Date. This Ordinances *hail take effect and be in force
immediately.
Passed and approved by the Council of the CITY OF PALM ]BEACH
GARDE , the 5th day of December, 1962.
