• MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL - TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 1961
A meeting of the City Council was held at 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida
on Tuesday, February 14th, 1961, at 11:00 o'clock A.M.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor.
UQ ORUM: The City Clerk reported a quorum present.
NATURAL The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to establish natural
GAS RATES: gas rates by Resolution; and
WHEREAS: On September 23, 1960, this Council authorized the execution of a
general_ service agreement with Houston Texas Gas and Oil Corporation for
quantities of natural gas; and
WHEREAS: The Engineering and Feasability Report made a part of said agree-
ment sets forth a Schedule of Rates for the contemplated users of gas in
PALM BEACH GARDENS; and
WHEREAS: The Houston Texas Gas and Oil Corporation incorporated. said rates
as part of its application to the United States Federal Power Commission,
who did on December 23d, grant a temporary certificate of public necessity
to said company to furnish natural gas to the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS;
and
WHEREAS: After a study of said rates and the engineering and feasability
report, as aforesaid, it was the conclusion of the Council that the same
would provide a fair return on the replacement cost of said utility, that
the same were fair and reasonable and would not result in a loss to the
City or excessive cost to the residential and commercial users.
RESOLUTION: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
PALM BEACH GARDENS, PALM BEACH COUNTY, STATE OF FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. That the Schedule of Monthly Rates, Fees, Rentals and other
charges to be made for natural gas to the users of natural gas in the City
of Palm Beach Gardens or those entitled to the use thereof shall be as
follows:
MINIMUM MONTHLY BILL - $2,50 per Month
DEPOSIT 10.00
