a CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL - JUNE 12th, 1961
The regular meeting of the City Council was held at 1001 Park Avenue,
Lake Park, Florida, on Monday, June 12th, 1961 at 10:00 o'clock A. M.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor.
IIORUM It was announced by the Clerk that a quorum of the City Council was
present.
AMENDMENT The Mayor advised the Council that Section XIX of the City Zoning
OF SECTION
XIX SUB- Ordinance failed to provide any standard for the building Official

OF ZONING. to uae in the issuance of permits and there is serious doubt as to

the validity of such petition in its present form and that the same
required amendment in the form of a proposed ordinance prepared by municipal
counsel, which was then presented to the Council of the City.
The Clerk then read for the first time the proposed amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance tentatively numbered "l -D" and upon motion duly made, seconded
and unanimously passed, it was resolved that notice of hearing'on the proposed
amended zoning ordinance be given in accordance with the statute in such cases
provided, and that a public hearing be held on such amendment on the 17th daffy
of July 1961, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. at 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida,
and that said amendment to the Zoning Ordinance be referred to the Council act-
ing as a Zoning Board for further examination and study.
DEDICATION The Mayor also advised the Council that Bankers Life and Casualty
OF PALM BEACH
GARDENS PLAT Company, an Illinois corporation duly authorized to do business in
NO. 4
Florida had filed with the City Clerk, City of PALM BEACH GARDENS,
PLAT NO. 4, wherein certain lands were dedicated to the City for
is streets, easements and expressed uses, a copy of which Plat is incorporated
herein by reference.
The Council then examined said Plat, and, it appearing that the same
was in accordance with the statutes of the State of Florida and the Charter
of the City,
ACCEPTANCE Upon Resolution, seconded and unanimously adopted,
AND APPROVAL
OF PALM BEACH City of PALM BEACH GARDENS PLAT NO. 4, a dedication
GARDENS PLAT
NO. 4 of certain lands in the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS
as provided therein, was accepted and approved.
ADJOURNPIENT There being no further business before the Council the meeting was
adjourned.

NOTICE OF AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE
AND ZONING MAP
STATE OF FLORIDA
CITY OP PALK BEACH GARDENS
TO THE CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OF PALM BEACH GARDENS:
PLEASE TAKE'NOTICE That on the 17th day of July 1961, at 10:00
o1clock A. M. at 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida, a meeting will
be held by the City Council of PALM BEACH GARDENS, also acting as a
Zoning Board, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Law and Zoning
Map of the CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, and in particular to amend
Section XIX, Sub - Section "B ", to provide certain standards for issuance
of permits and applications for variations of Zoning Ordinance as set
forth in a proposed. Amendment of the Zoning Ordinance.
That said proposed Ordinance is on record at the address above
set forth, and may be examined for the particulars of the Amendment
and its relationship to the Zoning Ordinance.
This Notice is further given for the purpose of ratifying the
Zoning Map and Zoning Ordinance of the CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, and
as amended.
