MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL ACTING FOR ITSELF AND
THE ZONING BOARD OF THE CITY
A meeting of the City Council acting for itself and the Zoning
Board of the City,'was held at 1001 Park Avenue on the 17th day of
July, 1961 at 10:00 o'clock A. M. in accordance with a Notice of Hear-
ing on an Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor.
UORUr7: The Clerk declared a quorum of the City Council to be present.
PIfENDMENTS This meeting was called for the purpose of a public hearing on

ORDINANCE an Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance amending SECTION XIX, Sub-
Section "B" to provide a standard for the issuance of permits
and rules as to variations and to ratify and affirm the Zoning
Ordinance and Zoning Map and as amended and for the purpose of a pub-
lie hearing on an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map by
changing the zoning classification and use of certain land in the South-
east Quarter (SE-4) of Section 13, Township 42 South and Range 42 East
from Zone 11R -1" to Zone 11C -2 ".
The Clerk informed the Council that notices of the time and place
of the hearing had been given in accordance with the statute and law in
such cases provided, and that the Council, acting as a Zoning Board had
approved the same.
Mr. VanValkenburg, a resident, on behalf of himself and other resi-
dents was present and after explanation and discussion of the amendments
made no objection and assented thereto.
ORDINANCE The Council then read for the second and final time Ordinance 1 -D

introduced at the meeting of June 12, 1961.
The Council then by unanimous vote ordained that General Ordinance
No. 2 entitled "Florida Model Traffic Ordinance" be enacted.
ALCOHOLIC The Council then read for the second and final time General Ordinance

The Council then by unanimous vote ordained that Ordinance 1 -D,
an ordinance amending Section XIX, Sub- Section "B" of the Zoning Ordinances,
be enacted and. the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map and as amended be
ratified and affirmed, and any ordinances or parts of ordinances incon-
sistent herewith be repealed to the extent of their inconsistency.

Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of the City of

Palm Beach Gardens by changing the zoning classification and use of
certain land on the Southeast Quarter (SE-14) of Section 13, Township 42
South, Range 42 East from Zone "R -1" to Zone "C -2" as specifically set
forth in the amendment be enacted and the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning
Map and as amended be ratified and affirmed and any ordinances or parts
of ordinances inconsistent therewith be repealed to the extent of their
inconsistency.

SALE OF SHELL The Council then by unanimous vote enacted the following

(1) The action of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer in
negotiating for the sale of 153000 cubic yards of Shell
Rock to Palm Beach County was hereby ratified, and
(2) The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
sign a contract selling to Palm Beach County 15,000 cubic
yards of Shell Rock material, of a quality meeting standard
County specifications. Said rock is to be delivered by the
City by truck, for use on the Extension of Military Trail
north from the junction with Lake Park West Road (also known
as Northlake Boulevard).
The price, delivered, is to be $1.11 per cubic yard. A condition
of the sale is that said Shell Rock material is to be used in the
improvement of Military Trail as Extended; in the stretch of three
miles or less north of the intersection with Lake Park West Road.

of the City of Palm Beach Gardens* Palm Beach County, Florida, by

and as thereafter amended, and further providing that the building offte a-•

by ordains and enacts:
