cipal office of said City, 1001 ?ark Avenue, Lase Park, Florida.

The revanue derived from the equ-.*ymcnt has been substential but
.• rentals were slow. He pointed out that the 3elvedere Construc-
tion Company had taken a job from the City of West Palm Deac�h
and had neither the personnel nor the equipment to do it. she
City had been offered a sub- contract on a very advantageous basis.
The Vice P.iayor recommended that it- be given favorable co_2oid3 a-
ti.on. Considerable discussion followed and it was co_nclii�la ::
that the local contractor. <,!ould resent the City conpa -.7g with
private industry. It vies then suggested that Garden Construction
Company represent the City as its agent and deal directly vi -th
the Belvedere Construction Corlpany. as if they mere the :pub -con-
tractor. The City could loan th?:ir supery =sors and equipment to
the Garden Construction Company and actually do the c!or:, in their
nama. The Garden ✓cnstructi-on Company could then give the City
40 an accountl_n; and remit to it any profit made.
In the discussion that followed it appeared the City had con-
• .ratted vi th other commun4. ties for certain public works commc_rc` ng
with the City of Delray Beach in April of 10,61.

best interest would be served by keeping the aforesaid equipment
in operation;
A motion Was duly wade, seconded and unanimously ado ?ted to
secure, if possible, a sub- contract, with Belvedere ::onstruct:ion
