SPECIAL 'TETING OF CITY COMNCIL
A special meeting was held at 800 - 10th Street, Lake Park, on January
29th, 1960 at 2 :30 PPI.
The meeting was called to order by the !Ia,yor.
The Clerk declared a quor -an to be present.
RUBI N CONSTRUCTIO'1 CgMPANY: The Mayor presented the memo contract from Rubin
Construction Company for paving the streets of
Palm Beach Gardens, cope of which is attached hereto. By unanimous vote,
the councilmen present ratified the act of the Vayor and City Clerk in
accepting the said contract.
AN11EXATION: The Mayor presented to the City Council, the petition of George
'Weaver requesting the annexation to Palm Beach Gardens of the
territory described in Exhibit "A" attached thereto, the Bills - Goolsby
tract. The following ordinance was then read a first time;
An ordinance to annex the Bills- roolsby tract to Palm Beach Gardens:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,
that upon petition of the owners thereof, as provided in Article 5,
Section 29 of the City Charter, which petition has been received,
the City does annex forthwith, the following described property:

By unanimous vote of the Council present, the petition letter was read,
attached to and included in the minutes of this meeting.
Upon first reading the above ordinance was unanimously approved, and
second and third reading were ordered for a special meeting to be held at
the minimum internal of time permitted by the Charter.
SPECIAL MEETING: Upon motion of Xr. Rowland, seconded by Mr. Uoolen, it was
moved that when the Council adjourn, it adjourn to recon-
vene at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 10, 1960; with the first special
order of business being the second and third reading of the above ordinance.
The motion was unanimously carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Re: Paving of Streets Within City of Palm Beach Gardens

This letter will serve as our contract with you for installation of the
pavement surfacing in connection with streets within the City of Palm
Beach Gardens, as defined in Plan No. TF- 1690 -F (in 4 sheets) dated
April, 1959, from the office of Brockway, Weber and Brockway, Engineers,
Inc.
For the unit price of $1.00 per square yard, we will waterbond, finish
grade, roll, prime and install a lid" asphaltic concrete surface. This
price is based on the assumption that prior to our commencing work you
will bring the existing shell base up to final cross - section and we will
not be required to furnish any shell base material whatsoever. In the
event a 1%" asphaltic concrete surface is required, in lieu of the 11/210
quoted on above, $0.12 per square yard will be added to the above price.
Not included in above prices is any shoulder grading, dressing or
stabilization.
It is our understanding that the required field engineering will be
provided by you without any cost to us.
Payment for the above work is to be made to us monthly, based on actual
field measure of completed work. For the purpose of preparing these

monthly pay estimates, please consider the following breakdown: Preparation
of base, priming and sanding - $0.35 per square yard. 1'k" asphaltic
concrete surfacing - $0.65 per square yard. From these monthly estimates
due us, you may deduct shell purchases made by us from your Lake Park Road
pit for the corresponding month at the rate of $1.00 per cubic yard.
If the above is in accordance with your understanding, kindly indicate in
the space provided returning one signed copy to us for our file.
