The reeting was called to order by the Mayor. The Clerk declared a quorum of the City Council to be present. AGREEMENT TO COMPROMISE TAXES: The 'Mayor presented to the Council a proposed agreement to compromise taxes between the City of Palm Beacb Gardens and the Bankers Life and Casualty Company, an Illinois corporation, and after reading, discussing, and examining said agreement, and there being no objection thereto, the Council, upon motion duly made and seconded, adopted the following resolution: RESOLVED: That the City of Palm Beach Gardens accept the sum of $24,000.00 from Bankers Life and Casualty Company in compromise of said taxes and that the :Mayor execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
