CITY OF PALM BSACH GARDENS
SPECIAL AETING OF CITY COUNCIL
A special meeting was held at 1001 Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida, on the
first day of August, 1960, at 0 o'clock 14 M.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor.
The Clerk declared a quorum of the City Council to be present.
ANNEXATION: The Mayor presented to the City Council, the petition of BANKERS LIYN
AND CASUALTY COMPANY, an Illinois corporation authorized to do busi-
ness in the State of Florida, requesting the annexation to the City of Palm
Beach Gardens, the territory described in Exhibit "A" attached thereto.
By unanimous vote of the Council present the petitioner's letter was read,
Exhibit "A" was examined, and discussed, and the petition and exhibit are
attached hereto and included in the minutes of this meeting.
The following ordinance was then read for the first time.

BE IT CRDAINED by the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,
that upon petition of the owner thereof, as provided in Article V,
Section 29, of the City Charter, which petition has been received, the
City does annex forthwith the prop -rty described in petitioner's Exhibit
"A ", to -wit:
PARCEL 1
The LESOWCDER Tract located in Palm Beach County, Florida, described as:
Portions of land in the 'Test half of the Northeast Quarter,
and in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter, Section 19, Township 42 South, Range 43 East,
Palm Beach County, Florida, more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the Quarter Section corner in the North line of said
Section 19, Township 42 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County,
Florida; thence on a bearing of South 880 -26' - 50" East along said
North line of Section 19, a distance of 331.80 feet; thence South
10 -31' -00" West a distance of 75 feet to a point of beginning;
thence continue South 10_31' -00" West a distance of 2855.59 feet;
thence North 190 - 211 -45" East along the West right -of -way line of
Central and Southern Flood Control Canal C -17, a distance of
2875.0 feet; thence North 10- 331 -10" West along said right- of-way
line a distance of 118.30 feet, more or less, to a point in the
South line of West Lake Park Road; thence North 880 - 261 -50" West

more or less, to the point of beginning, containing 30.05 acres,

Beginning at the NE corner of said Sec. 19 thence on a bearing,
related to standard plane rectangular coordiv to system for the
East Zone of Florida, of S. 10 191 10" W. a distance of 5402.70
feet to the SE cor. of said Sec. 19; thence N. 870 211 00" W.
along the S. line of said See. 19 a distance of 2675 ft. to the
SYi cor. of the SEJ of said See. 19; thence N. 10 321 /+0" E. along
the quarter See. line, a distance of 330 ft.; thence S. 880 271
26" E. a distance of 18.41 ft; thence N. 190 211 5011 E. along
the easterly right of way line of the Central and Southern Florida
Flood Control District Canal C -17, a distance of 5013.79 ft.;
thence N. 10 321 20" East, continuing along the easterly right of

Quarter (NWJ) of the Northwest Quarter (NW4), Section
7-42 -43, lying West of the right -of -way of Railroad, Palm
Beach County, Florida, and
the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW4)
of the Northwest Quarter (NWT-) of Section 7- 42 -43, LESS
Railroad right -of -way in Palm Beach County, Florida,
SUBJECT to reservations, restrictions and easements of
record, if any, and subject to the zoning codes and ordinances
of the municipality in which the subject property is located.

The HOWELL Tract located in Palm Beach County, Florida, described as:
Northeast one - quarter (NE4) of the Southwest one - quarter
(SW4) of the Northwest one - quarter (NW) less a one acre
tract in the Southeast (SE) corner thereof, in Section 7,
Township 42 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida;
The one-acre tract excluded under the terms of the above
description is more particularly described as beginning at
the Southeast (S8) corner of the Northeast one - quarter (NE4)
of the Southwest one-quarter (SW4) of the Northwest one -

Town ship 42 South, Range 42 East.
PARCEL 10
The WEBER Tract located in Palm Beach County, Florida, described as:
The East half (a) of the Northeast Quarter (NEJ)
of Section 11, Township 42 South, Range 42 East.
Upon first reading the above ordinance was unanimously approved; and
second and third readings were ordered for a special meeting to be held at
the minimum interval of time permitted by the jC.barter.
SPECIAL MEETING: Upon motion of Mr._ J r '�° , and seconded by Mr.
_ Z,�`' , it was moved that when the Council journ d,
it alj ourned to reconveni/at _/O o'clock, on the �'/ �` day of -�
19LI4 with the first order of business being the second and third reading of
the above ordinance. The motion was unanimously carried.

Dear Sir:
The Bankers Life and Casualty Company, an Illinois corporation
authorized to do business in Florida, hereby respectfully pe-
titions the City Council of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, to
annex .ten parcels of land owned by it, described in Exhibit "A ",
1 attached hereto and made a part of this petition.
This petition is made in conformity with Article 5, Section 29,
of the Charter of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, and your peti-
tioner states said lands either adjoin or are within three miles
of the territorial boundaries of said municipality and come with-
in the confines of the zoning map of said city.
Your petitioner, therefore, Frays that the parcels of land, as
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be annexed,and be made
a part of the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
