SPECIAL MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
Upon call of the Mayor the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens met in
special session at 2:30 o'clock P.M. on December 27th, 1960, at 1001
Park Avenue, Lake Park, Florida.
The Clerk announced a quorum to be present, and that all members of
the City Council had waived notice.
PURCHASE OF OCEIN FRONTAGE: The YRyor announced that Bankers Life and
Casualty Company bad offered to the City of
Palm Beach Gardens its ocean frontage property in Sections 9, 10, and
15, of Township 42 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida,
with no down payment and upon a purchase money mortgage providing for
no deficiency judgments, bearing 5% interest, and having a majority
of fifteen years. The offered price is $5,127,600.00.
After extensive discussion, the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to
accept the proposal, and to executue the necessary purchase money
mortgage.
