SPECIAL MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
Upon call of the Mayor a special meeting of the City Council of
PALM BEACH GARDENS was held at 8:00 PM Friday, September 18, 1959 at 1001
Park Avenue, Lake Park, Fla.
ITaivers of notice are attached to these minutes.
S_7 MOTOR SCRAPERS: The Vice Mayor reported that he had consulted responsible
engineers and construction men who had recommended that
the City purchase three (3) S -7 Motor Scrapers. He also stated that Florida
Construction Company had offered to make available to the City three (3) used
International Scrapers which the City might use as down payment; and that
Florida Construction Company would accept for the Scrapers the City's promise
to pay Florida Construction Company within two (2) years $6,500. each.
Thereupon the City Council passed the following resolution:
RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS, for municipal purposes, desires
to purchase three (3) new Euclid S -7 Motor Scrapers, Motor 4UOT; and
WHEREAS the SQUARE DEAL MACHINERY of MIAMI, INC. offers to sell said
Scrapers to the City for a total price of $87,669., payable as follows:
Credit for three (3) International Scrapers, 99500. - $28,500.
Rental applicable on purchase price, ;$1500. each for
six (6) months (payable monthly in advance) - $27,000.
Cash at the end of the lease period - $32,169.
NOW THE-7EFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of PALM BEACH GARDENS, Palm
Beach County, Florida, agrees to set rental agreement and purchase contract
and authorizes the City Clerk, Norman D. Rowland to exercise any and all
papers in connection therewith, including the payment to SQUARE DEAL MACHINERY,
INC. of the first month's rent of $4500.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the said City Clerk is hereby authorized to
deliver to SQUARE DEAL MACH11TERY, INC., a certified copy of this Resolution.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned.

WAIVER OF NOTICE AND RATIFICATION OF MINUTES.
The undersigned, being a member of the City Council of the City of
PALM BEACH GARDENS, does hereby waive notice of the holding of the special
meeting of said City Countil, at 8:00 PM Friday, September 16, 1959 in
Lake Park, Florida; and ratifies the Minutes thereof, to which this
Waiver is attached.
