The Corridor —an Overview
Palm Beach County made an important
commitment to Florida's future by bringing The
Scripps Research Institute to South Florida.
Located on Florida Atlantic University's Jupiter
campus in northern Palm Beach County, hundreds
of scientists and researchers are at work finding
cures and treatments for many diseases. Scripps
Florida's presence is expected to attract top -level
pharmaceutical and medical - related companies to
the area.
To achieve the vision of a world -class
biotechnology center, nearly 10 million square feet North Palm Beach County Life Science Corridor
of space has been identified within 10 miles of the cock on the map to enla ne
Scripps headquarters. This region is known as the North Palm Beach County Life Science
Corridor.
The Corridor is composed of properties under the zoning and land -use jurisdiction of
Palm Beach County and the municipalities of Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Park,
Riviera Beach and Mangonia Park. More than 21 /2 square miles of undeveloped land in the
Corridor have already been approved for bioscience purposes.
