SWA provides necessary tools and S rj� supplies once a group has committed to conducting four (4) cleanup /beautification events per year. Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches I, I Volunteer based non - profit organization sponsored by the Solid Waste Authority. The exterior and interior of qualifying single family homes receive 4 refurbishment such as repairs to roof, electrical, plumbing, etc. in an effort to IOECheC. make the homes of the elderly, disabled, low income and families with children a safe and habitable environment. Paint Your Heart Out Palm Beach County Volunteer based non - profit organization sponsored by the Solid Waste ' Paint Your uthorit y. The exterior of qualifying single family homes are painted with SWA "'�` Heart Out Pales rt County recycled paint at no charge to the elderly, disabled, low income and families with children. Recycled Paint Program Exterior latex recycled paint offered to qualified residents, non - profit organizations, Adopt -A -Spot and governmental agencies conducting projects O that restore communities and benefit those in need. Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches follows the most up to date Federal Low Income Guidelines for Palm Beach County as established by Housing and Urban Development. The chart below shows the maximum amount of income that your household can make to be considered "low- come ", based on how many children & adults live in the house. The individual qualifying for assistance must be a homeowner. Other criteria include level of need and available resources. Once you submit your application, a representative from Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches will contact you for a "House Review & Evaluation ". He or she will make an appointment to come and investigate each item in your home that needs repair. Soon after you will be notified as to whether or not you will receive assistance from the program. Must the house be a single - family residence? A. Yes, no more than one -story high; it should also be on a lot that allows easy access from all sides of the house. Q. How do I qualify to have my home painted free? A. First, your home must be in physical need of painting; not just a color change. You must fall into at least one of the following categories: elderly (60 years old and above), hurricane victim, disabled or single parent household. Apart from needing to be painted, must the house be in good condition? A. Yes. Our volunteers will inspect your house to see whether it is, basically, in good shape. Scraping and minor repairs before painting will be done by our volunteers. We will also remove any brush or debris (within reason) close to the house. Q. Who should sign the application? A. The person or persons who own the house. Q. Must my home be constructed of certain material? A. Houses constructed of any material except aluminum siding and unpainted brick will be considered. Mobile, manufactured and modular homes do not qualify for this program. Q. May I choose the color it is to be painted? A. Yes. The homeowner will choose one base and one trim color based on the colors that are available through the Solid Waste Authority's Recycled Paint Program. Q. Do I have to do anything to prepare my home to be painted? A. Yes. The homeowner is responsible for having the house pressure cleaned and prepared for painting. Q.
